Abstract	Functional constipation, characterized by delay of advancing of dehydrated stools and abnormal evacuation, is now a major reason for pediatric surgical examination. Therefore, it would be useful to define a safe and effective therapeutic strategy. In our experience, psyllium fibre may achieve good results.
